Evaluation!!!

1:What was the most challenging aspect of this unit? I think the most challenging aspect of this piece was trying to find background information on my piece. But I later found out that I didn't need to and it all got much easier. I also am not looking forward to actually presenting it.....

2:What worked well for you in the research project? The google docs and such made life a whole lot easier!!!

3:What helped you learn? The books from the library really helped me with my presentation and information.

4:What didn't work well for you in this research project? Although the time limit was pushed back, I think I am a little stressed about trying to make sure that my presentation fit the limit.

5:What would have made the project better? Um..... I can't really think of anything...

6:Critique the overall human for in art research project. I thought it was a nice break to be creative and such. It was nice to do something a little out of the ordinary.

7:Should this project be taught in ninth grade Humanities English? Why or why not? Yes because it gives us a chance to view pieces of art that we might not have ever looked at on our own time. It helped open my eyes to better appreciate different forms of art.

Almost Done!!!!

ok so i am getting REALLY close to finishing. i just have to finish writing my description. but i am getting a little stuck. i feel like i have described everything i can, but i will keep at it. but after that's done i will finally be finished!!! it really helps a lot that we can use that 'speakers notes' thing so we don't have to take a million years writing notecards!!!!

I am working on my presentation and finishing my written description. I hope to accomplish finishing my presentation within the next few days. I would really like if it was changed to 5-7 minutes rather than 7-10.

Friday the 13th

Today I worked on looking closer on my chosen piece. I attempted to look up more on the piece but all that I keep finding is how I can purchase the painting online. I am not having ANY luck finding ANYTHING!! It's reaaalllllyyyyy aggravating me!!! I would like to know where I could find a good website that actually gives me information rather then ordering information!!!!!!!!! :[

Jean and Genevieve Caillebotte by Renoir

The piece I chose to do is called Jean and Genevieve Caillebotte by Renoir. It is a piece created during the Impressionist Movement. Today I have learned more about what the Impressionist Movement really was and what makes a piece part of it. On Friday I am hoping to be able to research my piece more, learn more about what possessed Renoir to create this and the history behind it. I'm hoping that I can find a website or a book that will be of much more help to me then previous sites. Nothing seems to be working and I can't find any websites that give me information about what Renoir's meaing of painting this was about and such...

Search Engines

I was only able to use one search engine because I got caught up in it. I used Yahoo! and it didn't work too well. It had a wide variety but it could of included more info about my piece. I have to say it wasn't very specific and I had trouble finding what I needed. I am hoping some of the other search engines will help me find what I need much faster.

Blog number One

I have narrowed it down to about 5 art pieces for my project, most are by well known artists. I think they work well witht the assignment and am hoping I can narrow them down to just one. I have one in mind. It's called Jean and Genevieve Caillebotte by Renoir. My next step will be to research the piece.
